There have been 18 percent more children in poverty since the year 2000 to the year 2009 because of the recession means we’ve got almost 15 million below the poverty line in USA.


According to PBS, "We’ve seen 18 percent more children in poverty since the year 2000 to the year 2009 because of the recession,” says Annie E. Casey Foundation President and CEO Patrick McCarthy on a recent show. "That means we’ve got almost 15 million children living below the poverty line in this country as of 2009.”
